Meet Our Provider
Alicia Coman, RN
Having grown up in a small and rural farming town in the heart of Georgia, I developed a love of nature and science early on in my life which fostered my passion for human kindness and well-being. My passion and natural curiosity of the world led to me joining the United States Air Force shortly after graduating high school.
During my nine years of service in the military, while primarily working in Communications and Information Technology, I had the opportunity to live and travel to different parts of the world. I was fortunate to experience different cultures and meet new and exciting people that I likely never would have gotten to otherwise. It was also during that time that I met my husband and eventually gave birth to my son in 2007.
After the birth of my son, I received an honorable discharge from the military while living in southern Arizona and it was then that I began pursuing my interest of “nature versus nurture” and holism while enjoying being a full-time mom. This eventually led to my journey to becoming a Registered Nurse with a focus on Integrative Healthcare and holistic practices to heal the mind, body, and spirit.
Throughout my journey to become a nurse, I worked as a Certified Pharmacy which strengthened my knowledge of pharmacology, and the effects good nutrition, hydration, mindfulness/meditation, and self-care can have on the mind, body, and spirit. In December 2016, I graduated with full honors from Chandler-Gilbert Community College where I obtained my Associate of Applied Science in Nursing. I quickly passed the Board of Nursing examinations and received my RN certification in February 2017.
Since becoming a Registered Nurse, I have consistently strived to be the change I wish to see in healthcare and move beyond bedside nursing.
I have worked as a licensed RN in Arizona, Kansas, and Texas. I am a member of the American Holistic Nursing Association and have earned multiple prestigious awards and recognitions, including being nominated several times for the DAISY award for exemplary patient care. I am also an expert in multiple specialties, including Correctional Nursing, Acute Dialysis, Trauma/Medical Surgical, Adult and Geriatric Med-Psych, mental health, substance abuse/detox.
Aside from helping others, I believe in the importance of maintaining a good work-life balance. In my free time, I enjoy nature, yoga, cooking, gardening, camping, reading, learning new languages, and spending time with family. I am grateful for the opportunity to connect and help clients achieve their individualized health and wellness goals.
